QOOB has helped another jem of the short format come to life: straight out of Down-Under, explosive stuntman-editor-producer-writer-actor-director Nash Edgerton delivers his latest effort, “Spider”, a 9-minute action-thriller that gives an all-new meaning to old Peugeots, stunning blondes and love-jokes. The movie, written by Nash and David Michod and soundtracked for the occasion by Australian singer-songwriter Ben Lee, was shot on location in Sydney and features in the cast Nash himself (as Jack) and rising star of the Australian film scene Mirrah Foulkes (as Jill). It’s no surprise that it’s been awarded World Movies Channel Audience Award at the Sydney Film Festival 2007. Just remember: it’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

26 04 2007The world is in motion. The Earth hurtles through space at 67,000 mph orbiting the Sun. The Sun flys a course around the Milky Way at nearly 8 times that speed. At the Equator, the spinning of the earth on it’s axis moves you at 1000mph. Everything is in constant motion. The bedrock beneath our feet and the tides at our shores are moving now. Office towers sway in the wind. Nothing is ever still.
